Hi, I started reading Reacher series by Child Lee and the books read a bit like a manual to me. I’m looking for stories in the similar genre but with immersive writing, believable characters, realistic behaviors, and a plot that will make my heart beat faster!
Huge bonus if there’s a lot of sensory details and “showing” instead of just “telling”.

I’m not sure if this is the kind of action you are looking for, but [Age of Vice](https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/60177466) has the crime family kind of action. I couldn’t put it down (except to sleep and eat).
