Not exactly Twin Peaks-ish, but very David Lynch — The Third Hotel by Laura Van Den Berg. Murder on Teals Pond, true crime that loosely inspired Mark Frost in writing Twin Peaks. I’m bookmarking this post because I want to see what others recommend!

Night Film by Marisha Pessl. Mystery novel following the murder of a cult film director’s daughter, with heavy occult vibes.
Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Murakami – a man searches for his missing wife and descends into a bizzarre, dreamlike underbelly of the city filled with a cast of off-kilter odd balls. Actuall, anything by Murakami or Kobo Abe might fit.
Gun, With Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem – a hard boiled detective novel but written in a surrealist fashion. There’s talking animals and literal karma police
