I rly like fantasy and adventure animes
Last time I ever read a book series (or a book in general) and rly enjoyed it was the percy Jackson series
I hate slow or realistic books unless there’s drama in there and like…it has to be good drama?
I like vampire and werewolves or things of the sort
Magic also?
I like forbidden love
I like fantasy action or just action maybe
(Im not against smut either or like detailed intimate scenes)

Have you tried The Innkeeper Chronicles series by Illona Andrews? The first book is Clean Sweep. It’s about a magical bed & breakfast for aliens (mostly vampire and werewolves) in the Texas suburbs. It’s basically a slice-of-life/action anime in novel form. There is minimal romance too.
The early novels of the Anita Blake series (Guilty Pleasures, The Laughing Corpse, Circus of the Damned, The Lunatic Cafe) have some great action involving vampires and werewolves too. After the first 7-10 books, though, they turn into angsty monster porn for about 10 books before partially reverting back to action again around book 20.
Less action: Bride by Ali Hazelwood. A vampire raised by humans gets forced to marry an alpha werewolf for a peace treaty. This is hilarious and snarky with lots of political intrigue and a little action.
Things you might like that don’t involve vampires & werewolves:
– Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman–aliens destroy the world and Carl & his suddenly talking cat end up competing in a dungeon crawl to the death for alien TV viewers.
– The Bobverse books (We Are Bob is the 1st one)–a guy gets turned into a series of self-replicating space probes after his death.
– The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells (first book is All Systems Red)–a non-human security cyborg turns into an action hero even though it mostly just wants to watch TV.
You might like *Her Majesty’s Royal Coven* by Juno Dawson. It’s about a coven of witches (in modern times) who grew up together in the Irish countryside and find an incredibly powerful young witch who needs their help to control their powers. There’s a drama because they’ve known each other for so long but also realize they might be drifting apart, a strong anti-TERF theme, and a big ol’ magical showdown at the end (plus a moderately smutty scene in the middle). It’s book one of a series (probably 4 books total, once it’s done), and book 3 is set to come out this summer (though that book is a prequel).
