looking for fiction (mostly sci fi but i’m into a lot of genres. i doubt i’ll find what i’m looking for outside hard sci fi). books ideally written by mathematicians or physicists but as long as i’m not cringing at the nonsensical or entirely skipped over mathematics involved in a lot of hard sci fi, i’ll be pleased.
looking in to greg egan’s work- permutation city is probably where i’d start. any other recommendations? complexity isn’t an issue.
i’m not looking for a bunch of math textbooks, just books that use advanced mathematics to tell cool stories.
