My sister (28F) has just gone through a tough couple of years, and now has a job she works remotely – also she is now starting financially from scratch, on her last few months of debts. She also has a small circle of friends and she is very introverted.

She wants to really immerse herself into solitude (nothing dark), enjoying the little things indoors and doing things that gets her recharged enough to include in new aspirations/events/goals in small doses in time.

Any books that gives a nice cosy, hopeful, indoor, philosophical feel to it that could be great company to her during this time? I mostly read sci-fi/action/non-fiction, so I have nothing for her. Bonus point if it’s after a traumatic event and has something to do with abit of healing.

    1. I recommend this book all the time, but the cosiest book I’ve ever read is Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris. She has a way of transporting you (mainly to the countryside of France!). Another good one by her, with a small amount of healing from trauma, is Five Quarters Of The Orange. Its set in a little house thats converted to a restaurant. I actually feel like ive been there, when in reality I have never left Australia!
Hope your sister has some good times ahead, whatever that looks like for her 🙂
