Is it just me? Wanted to listen to War and Peace, and Brothers Karamazov. But both versions I’ve found are narrated by Brits with very “posh” accents, and after a few minutes listening, the narrative starts sounding so sneering to me that a can’t imagine listening to 9 hours of it. Character descriptions sound sneering and so do all the conversations. I’ve read War and Peace and liked it (years ago), and would like to hear the story again.
