Help me get back into reading
Hey guys,
I haven’t really read a book that wasn’t necessary for school since a really long time.
The problem I have is that reading is a much deeper invest for me than watching a movie or series and realizing 1-2 episodes in that it’s not my type.
I really would like to read a book again that grips and fascinates with its story.
Maybe like thriller or novel, no fantasy please.
And maybe not more than 300 pages long.
Thank you for any recommendations.

gone girl, sharp objects, dark places- Gillian flynn
the girl before- Rena olsen
Jar of hearts, things we do in the dark, little secrets (and all her other works) – Jennifer Hillier
The night shift – Alex Finlay
the last housewife, midnight is the darkest hour- Ashley winstead

my thriller/mystery recs. cannot say if they are <300 as ~350+pgs is the standard in a way. Try audiobooks if page length is holding you back from reading.
