I am eager to read more novels, but the thing that is holding me back is that there is often romance or sexual content in stories and I have no way of knowing beforehand. Before I play video games or watch movies I can always check parents guides to see if there’s stuff in it. With books I simply have no idea.
Does anyone have recommendations for novels without any romance or sexual content. Preferably horror / thriller and or fantasy
It is a bonus (not required) if the novel is in Dutch or translated.

Are you open to middle grade fantasy? My favorite series is Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend, and it does have a [Dutch translation](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/571a7be2-07d3-4240-ad73-363f143e1372)!
