Hey all! Before I start, please don’t recommend ‘Priest’ by Sierra Simone, that is very much not what I’m looking for.
I’m after a type of book that’s more a typical romance novel, rather than “50 Shades of Priest Kink”, lol. Nor one that’s all “I’m a priest, I shouldn’t be falling in love!” But a more realistic story of a priest who genuinely falls in love with an appropriate love interest (so not a Catholic school girl or something creepy).
I don’t really have a preference for place or time, or even Christian schism, lol. Could be Catholic Priest in Russia during the Revolution, or Protestant Priest in England during the Reformation, or an American Lutheran from last week. Hell, even an Anglican Australian in the year 2376 or something.
A little spice would be nice, but I’m not interested in erotica dressed as romance. I’m trying to think of examples, but to be honest, I don’t read a lot of romance. But something like the movie “What If”, “The Hating Game”, “Me Before You”, “Playing It Cool”, stories like that, where there’s a genuine connection and love between the two characters.
