She’s visiting me on very short notice and although her birthday is not for another two weeks, she won’t be in town then so I have to order something like RIGHT NOW.
What she likes: She reads a ton of fantasy, sci fi and dystopian books like Dune, Six of Crows, Caraval.
She also read classics like To Kill a Mockingbird, A Catcher in the Rye.
She doesn’t like romance books a lot unless they have fantasy or something like that and shes read a lot of books so if you know books that aren’t as popular, which you could be sure she hasn’t read, that would be great but even a popilar suggestion is fine. Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
For a fantasy and sci-fi loving reader who’s not much into mainstream romance, here are a couple of book suggestions that she might not have read yet:
1. **”The Priory of the Orange Tree” by Samantha Shannon** – A standalone epic fantasy novel with rich world-building, dragons, and strong female characters, blending elements of magic and intrigue in a beautifully crafted universe.
2. **”The Bone Season” by Samantha Shannon** – The first in a dystopian sci-fi series, this book offers a unique blend of fantasy, supernatural elements, and a complex, well-developed world that should captivate her interest.
3. **”An Ember in the Ashes” by Sabaa Tahir** – A gripping series that combines elements of fantasy and dystopian genres, focusing on military oppression, freedom, and, subtly, the power of choice and hope.
These books offer a mix of popular and lesser-known titles, ensuring a fresh reading experience even for an avid reader familiar with many mainstream books.
