I just picked up “The Magick of Physics”, by Felix Flicker, and I like the idea of collecting similar books which look like the sort a modern-day wizard would have. That being said, I don’t actually believe in magic, so I’m not looking for “witchy” books. More like grown-up versions of Wizardology, which look like wizard books on the shelf, but aren’t written for people who purport to practice actual magic. Whether the author is just having fun writing about magic as if it were real, or the magic is a conceit to address something actual like physics, I’d love to hear about it!

Brandon Sanderson’s books use magic in a way that can almost be boiled down to science. To the point that there’s researchers and extrapolation in and out of universe.
