I’m a writer and as an inevitable part of thst journey, so much of the last fee books I read were just about analysing the craft instead of enjoying the story.
After that, I sort of diverted to non-fiction (8 year old me would not recognise me) and I’m currently reading 1492 by Charles C. Mann, an excellent book if you enjoy anthropology btw.
I really want to read a fiction novel next, a “story book” essentially. But is there any suggestion on books that I can read without my analysis brain stepping in? Something light hearted and isn’t written so badly that I’m constantly trying to plan how I would write it instead? Really miss that magic of being a reader and nothing more sometimes. I would love a recommendation that takes me back there.
