Hello friends, I’ve been an avid reader all my life and I’ve read quite a few novels. However, they’ve all been Eastern fantasy novels for the most part. I grew up reading them and I’ve had very little interaction with western books and the like.
I recently finished Lord of Mysteries(an eastern novel) and I absolutely adore it. However, it is a book which blends western and eastern themes in a fantasy mystery novel with a lot of cosmic horror and extensively well done world building. Anything similar is extremely difficult to come by on the eastern side, at least I haven’t had any luck within the communities I would usually frequent.
I understand cosmic horror was popularized, if not invented, by H. P. Lovecraft so I thought I should ask for recommendations here. I am planning on reading Lovecraft’s stories, however, I am more so looking for fantasy novels with horror/mystery and an overarching plot. Something similar to lord of mysteries.
Any recommendations are welcome even if they don’t fit exactly. As long as it has to do with fantasy and horror.
