This might be a little niche but I’m looking for anything adjacent to the Gundam series or Evangelion in book format? I feel like a lot of sci-fi that I’ve read focuses on space exploration and final frontier type environments, but I can’t name any series that focuses on mecha piloting! Is anyone familiar with something good to recommend? TIA!

Iron Widow has some mecha fighting.
A bit more Pacific Rim than Gundam though.
