I am looking for a book that is a novel analogous to how our society works, and how corrupt it can get. I want it to also be an educational experience – something I can actually use to have debates with. Further, I want it to be a gripping and interesting story with it’s own characters, struggles, cliff hangers, themes like betrayal, espionage etc

Books like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Hunger Games, Animal Farm, etc. These books take place in fictional places and read like a movie / novel, but they also make you think and you can learn from them how corrupt society can get etc

    Thank you

The Great Gatsby, To Kill and Mockingbird, Where the Crawdads Sing, The Bluest Eye; all could also be lumped with what you’ve already listed.

    2. “Till We Have Faces” by C.S. Lewis

“Lilith” by George Macdonald, This man is basically the Grandfather of Science Fiction. If Mary Shelly gave Science Fiction its body George gave it its soul.
