Books that gave you a life changing insight, lesson, etc.

I’ve read few books in my life that have opened my eyes and left me thinking even years afterwards. I’ve re read them and always learnt something new.

In this case I’ll refer to David Mamet’s “On Directing Film” A book that I feel transcended film making. It is a book that gave me so much insight into language, ideas, conveying messages, communicating, etc.

One thing about this book is that it is not very long. As a matter of fact, it’s less than 100 pages. But it just changed the way I think.

What books would you suggest had this impact on you? A powerful insight, mind opening concepts, passion for understanding more?
