My girl will turn three next week and has essentially decided that most of the books she used to LOVE are boring. She’s also not as open minded as she used to be. When I get a new book, she loves reading it a couple of times but often never touches it again. I’ve decided to buy purely her own interests now and hoping we find a new „winner“ that we both love reading every night. Her favorites right now are the story orchestra books, a book about ballet, a book about becoming a big sister and a book about treehouses.
Her interests:
* anything girl
* princesses
* ballerina, dance
* nature, especially flowers (she picks flowers ALL DAY) but also bees and bugs
* she’s super confident and wild
I’d like something that is also joyful for me to read. Meaning high quality illustrations, a fun text/good language.

Have you guys read [The Bear and the Piano](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/ce040cad-73ec-412d-9ef0-3036dfdce13c) by David Litchfield?
I used to love “Today I Feel Silly” when I was that age!
Bear Came Along by Richard T. Morris
{{Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present}} by Charlotte Zolotow.
Chirri & Chirri by Kaya Doi. Beautiful and detailed illustrations of two sisters going on fun adventures that are very nature oriented, and it’s one of those that is fun for that age group but doesn’t bore to death. Highly recommend these. She has an entire series of Chirri & Chirra if she ends up liking it!
Blueberry Girl – by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Charles Vess. The words flow when read aloud, the meaning is powerful and the illustrations are brilliant.
