I am about to read book 15 of a series by British author Alex Jones. This is the latest published book of the series, though 16 is due in August. He has two other books which I’ll read too.
The books centre around a DCI who has moved from London to Norwich and finds himself investigating extreme crimes.
The books are on the graphic side when it comes to the crimes which I’m okay with, but what I really like is the banter and sarcasm in his writing. The laugh out loud moments feel almost inappropriate given some of the book content, but they’re just so British and balance out the dark topics.
Has anyone else read any books from other authors that could be described the same way? TIA.
