I finished it a few weeks ago and my brain still feels broken. I definitely need to re read it multiple times to actually understand it all.
First book I’ve ever read with a story structure like that, it blew my mind. Definitely got my interested in reading again, I’ll never forget that book.
One of my personal favorite passages was the description of ‘the uncanny’, I found myself in awe of the description, I’d never read something that so thoroughly detailed a feeling that’s so hard to explain.
I’ve seen some opinions that the actual author of the whole thing is the Mom, that it’s an unknown narrator, who is JT etc. Thinking about it, I’m not sure who the narrator is truly either.
Q: how the hell did navidson have a copy of house of leaves in the final scenes in the hallway???
I have loads of other comments about the book, anyone care to discuss?
If you like psychological horror, this book is a must!

One of the rare books I consider worthy of a second read-through. Finished it couple of weeks ago and trying to stay away from it for at least half a year before delving back in. It’s one of those books you either love or love to hate.
