Hi! I have been hired as a nanny for the summer to two children age 6 and 11, and I have a great love of reading that I want to share with my young charges. I also want to be able to bring a book to work in case I have breaks where I can read. Normally on work breaks I’d be on my phone but my employer told me she wants to keep her kids off screens as much as possible and I want to model that behaviour. All of this is a long winded way of saying I’m looking for book recommendations that I can read aloud and will be enjoyed by the kids but that I can also read on my own and still be entertained. Any ideas?
