Whodunit suggestions

Looking for whodunits that are both intricately plotted and well written in that the reader is engrossed immediately.

Examples: the adult mysteries by Anthony Horowitz; Agatha Christie; Sherlock Holmes short stories; novels by Keigo Higashino. I Didn’t enjoy Tana French novels.
