There’s two routes I want to take on studying Pershing:
1. “My Life Before the World War” + “My Experiences in the World War” both by Pershing (1100 and 700 pages respectively)
2. “Until the Last Trumpet Sounds” by Gene Smith – 400 pages, covers timelines of both Pershing’s books
If I had to choose one option, which would be recommended? Do I somehow miss out on important knowledge and wisdom by taking option 1, since I do think memoirs are more insightful? Anyone have experience reading these books?
