Hello.
I (34F) am trying to find books on how to become intimate with someone of the opposite sex. I am not sure if it is trauma-based or simply a mental block, but any books that touch upon the subject and touch upon how to be open to your partner would be helpful.
I don’t really know where to start, and everything I’ve seen looked like it was written from less-than-reputable sources so if you could advise on some medical or therapeutic books that would be great.
If this isn’t the place for this discussion, I apologize.

“The good girls guide to great sex”. It’s written by a Christian sex therapist, but don’t let that turn you off. It goes over the mechanics of what sex is, how it works, how to make it pleasurable, etc, and then also the emotional aspect of it and how to form a better emotional connection with your partner for and during sex. There were a lot of great takeaways, one being for those just starting out having sex to focus on arousal instead of penetration; If the couple just focuses on penetration, the woman is usually going to be nervous or not aroused and then sex isn’t going to be pleasurable.
