I realize that most posts on here are asking for books to read, which I plan on doing, but I am looking for very specific criteria. I need a book with a male, first-person perspective that has a very sad/emotional story.
The reason I need such a specific book is for my highschool speech team. I plan on taking prose interpretation with one of the books suggested and I am having a very difficult time finding something. I am a white male so I would prefer for the book’s main character to match that. Any suggestions?
