I’m looking for a non fiction book about Native American culture pre-colonization. Would love if it were a comprehensive overview of various tribes across the continent overtime before Europeans arrived, but also open to specific peoples if that’s all there is.

*Cherokee Women* by Theda Purdue is a really interesting book on gender in Cherokee society, and how gender norms and power dynamics changed after the colonists invaded.
