Suggest me an audiobook that is at least 20hrs long and is SO GRIPPING I’ll completely forget I’m driving across the country
Incoming 22hr drive for our big move and I’m pretty worried about it as I hate driving long distance. Please suggest a book that will have me absolutely enraptured and is at LEAST 20hrs long.
Remembrance of Earth’s Past, by Liu Cixin. Whether you find it gripping is up to you, but at least you’ll know what all the shouting is about. The characterization is rather weak. But it’s certainly long enough to fill your car trip, and then some.
Floriderp on
If you like dark fantasy (i.e. Game of Thrones), try The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. Some of the best voice acting I’ve ever heard, and a fantastic story. I listened to them while sailing across the Pacific, and it kept me entertained and sane.

– Dune by Frank Herbert
– The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
– East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Happy listening and safe travels!
