I’m looking for a gangster book that focuses on the emotions of characters. Like how the movie fallen angels and wong kar wai depicts them. The loneliness, the drugs, the doomed relationships. Like more about the vibes rather than the action. I’m NOT looking for pure action that tries to fit into male literature or these cringy smutty mafia books aimed at women. Also no books that focus overwhelmingly on men while women are just props.
