Hey !
I am open to any genre so long as the narrator (either throughout or for parts of it) is 3rd person Omniscient and well written.
*Ideally* i would like books with an Omniscient narrator who despises a character in the novel they are narrating. A subjective narrator who roots for one party and is biased against the other. Though they may not have agency in the story itself.
I have a few books on my radar;
* *Pride and Prejudice* (Jane Austen)
* *Cannery Row* (John Steinbeck)
* *The Rook* (Daniel O’Malley)
* *Use of Weapons* (Iain Banks)
Perhaps this is enough already, but more does not hurt.
I want to get a feeling for what makes an Omniscient (Subjective) narrator work, so that i may apply this knowledge to my 4th novel 😀 I am not picky when it comes to genre, while i write Sci-Fi, my reading habits are *all over the place*.
So yeah, i hope this is enough info. Thanks for any suggestions !

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell has a pretty snarky (if extremely dry) narrator, especially in the many many footnotes. Very Austenian.
[The Girl Who Drank the Moon](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/b8b6a493-2301-493a-bc3e-d4e79c04f4a3) by Kelly Barnhill. It’s a beautifully written book that’s mostly in 3rd person omniscient.
