Hi everyone
I am looking for some recommendations on your favourite True Crime book!
I have been a True Crime gal for literally years now and honestly would have a degree in this field now it’s that insane how many hours I watch anything True Crime a week.
I have pretty much seen every True Crime documentary, Tv series & movie that is streamed in Australia.. my partner thinks I’m crazy, I watch it pretty much everyday, doing absolute any task. It’s gotten to the stage where I have literally run out of things to watch (Im jealous of Americans and their streaming sites)
So a few days ago I was looking at some self help books online and thought wait.. I should check True Crime books out. I purchased my first book today:
• The Teacher’s Pet by Hedley Thomas – behind the scenes book about one of the biggest murder mysteries here in Australia, Lynette Dawson.
I am so excited to begin my new obsession with True Crime books, I can already tell it’s gonna be an expensive one.
I had 2 free audiobooks tokens so I chose:
• A Beautiful Child by Matt Birkbeck
• If You Tell by Gregg Olsen
Lemme know your thoughts on these too if you have read/listened.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

If You Tell by Gregg Olson is one of the most fucked up true crime books I’ve read. Something about his writing style and the fact that he worked with her daughters just really makes it a disturbing read. Yes it’s good but definitely disturbing.
Recommendations:
Unbelievable by T Christian Miller and Ken Armstrong (there’s a Netflix series by the same title, the book has so much more the show didn’t have time to get into)
Killer Across the Table by John Douglas (covers a few different cases, really interesting. The audiobook is read by Jonathan Groff who played the lead in the Netflix Show Mindhunter)
My Sweet Angel by John Glatt (a case of muchausens by proxy)
Everything is Fine by Vince Granata (the author’s brother murdered their mother in a psychotic episode. The book is about the lead up and how his family dealt with it afterward
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara (About the Golden State Killer, I assume you’ve heard of this one and maybe even seen the documentary if you’re really into true crime)
