Just read Shogun in three weeks (1485 pages according to my Kindle), and I’d love any other recommendations for similar books before I lose my reading mojo
I know Clavell wrote a few other novels, but I was thinking of trying something else. Thoughts?

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett- it’s set in England in the 1100s and covers a big (fictional) cathedral building project and the community which surrounds it. There is barely any way to make it sound interesting when describing it but it’s genuinely brilliant, as is the second book which is also set in the same community.
