Sparkling, dreamy fantasy

Hi guys,

I’ve really gotten so behind on my reading since a bad breakup post pandemic. Nothing has really hooked me. So I’m looking for something that is magical, dreamy, sparkling in the realm of fantasy or magic realism.

In the vein of Gaiman, Marquez, Allende, Murakami, Angela Carter. I especially love retold fairy tales with dark elements and gore but I really can’t stomach tropey YA stuff. Hope to get some good things from this thread. TIA!
