By apocalyptic I mean the story takes place during the apocalyptic event. Not a post-apocalypse where the event is “over” and society has gotten used to the circumstances.
I’ve read Empty by Suzanne Weyn and loved it. That was about a future where our current oil dependent society runs out of gas and takes place during the chaos.
I’ve also had Generation A on my list for a while which is about a world without bees.
I’m looking for more books like that. Be they the effects of climate change, deforestation or any other sorts of environmental impacts caused by human activity. Thanks in advance.
