My mum is stuck in a loveless marriage with a now disabled alcoholic, had to renter the workplace, and is a single parent. Suggest a book that will remind her of hope, love, things changing for the better, and all that life can be.

The past couple years have been a struggle for my family, but I honestly can’t imagine the position my mums in. My father is an alcoholic, had a stroke, and is now needing home care. As a result my mum had to renter the workforce, take on the position of caretaker for a man she intended on divorcing, raise my sister, and tackle their debt. There are moments where I can tell she is just exhausted with this life. I am hoping their is a book out their that will resonate with her challenges but remind her to have hope, to remind her of the good. Something bittersweet. Ideally it would be non-fiction, the protagonist would be female, and older. Thanks:)
