I’ve been diving pretty deep into WW2 history books and so far I’ve read a bunch of stuff. The Pacific and Liberation Trilogy books have been highlights. I really like how comprehensive they are from the perspective of recounting the broad strategic concepts, while also diving into specific battles and soldier stories. Even branching out to talking about what the major players in commanding roles were doing and thinking. They also don’t limit it to the allied perspective, giving insight into the axis side as well.
That being said, I was looking for something similar but for the Eastern Front. Something comprehensive, that recounts the events from the start to the end. I’ve seen some examples, like Absolute War, The Red Army and the Second World War, The Clash of Titans, and I’ve seen recently Stalin’s War in shelves.
Can someone give me their recommendations based on my preference above? Which might fit the bill?
Thanks!
