My friend, who works as a mentor in an NGO, is looking to gift some books to her mentees. The kids are from 9th and 10th grade, from rural and semi-urban areas, coming from lower-middle-class and middle-class families. We’re looking for mellow young adult books or storybooks that emphasize mostly on morals and self-growth. Indian authors are preferable, but any author is fine. We’re aiming for simple books that resonate with these young readers. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
