Hello! I am doing a paper on the loss of innocence and in the 2 literary works I have decided to write about, there is an animal who leads the character onto a new place/life. These works are, of course, *Alice in Wonderland* and *Deathless* by Catherynne M. Valente.
Has anyone read any book with a simila ‘trope’? Of an animal acting as an omen for growth? Extra points if the main character is a girl.
