Hey y’all! I’m trying to find books that will inspire me/are in conversation with for a writing project I’m working on. For the project, there are two central characters with recurring chapters from their perspective. Interspersed between those will be lots of short chapters from the perspective of other people around them. There would also be some chapters that are e-mails, news articles, phone transcripts, etc. The closest example for this would be perhaps The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty, and a less close example might be Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying. I’ve tried finding recommendations through various searches and algorithms to no success, so I’d really appreciate y’all’s help!
As a side note, I’m looking more for literary fiction and not really so much for genre fiction. It would be a bonus if it’s written by a non-American or non-British author (I’m trying to expand my horizons a little), but at this point I’m in need of any and all recommendations.
Thanks!!
