I’m tutoring a 60+ yr old woman. We just started today. English is not her first language and she’s only had 4 years of school growing up. I think she sight reads and doesn’t really know how to sound out words. We meet in a local library and I would like to encourage her to get her own library card and check out some books but I don’t know where to start. Suggestions please and thanks!
