I know may not be the best form to brag, but I had been in a bit of a reading slump for a while, but really forced myself to make time for this hobby, and I’m surprised by (and proud of) how many books I’ve managed to finish so far this year:
Little Green by Walter Mosley
The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway
The Stranger by Albert Camus
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick
Black TV by Bethonie Butler (non-fiction)
The Shadow of the Torturer by Gene Wolfe (this one I’m particularly proud of, since it’s somewhat notorious for being long and difficult).
The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman (this one’s kinda cheating since I had started reading it in 2023, and spent a long time reading it on and off, going back and forth between DNF’ing it before finally deciding to just finish it, which I did this morning. Now I’ve read the entire His Dark Materials Trilogy).
Feel free to discuss any books you’re currently reading or any list of books you’ve completed so far.
