    Hello everyone

I just finished reading the Ryria Revelations/Chronicles séries and need something new to dive into.

Hoping for some more obscure but sprawling stories with great characters.

    Books I have read:
    Malazan (all time favorite) //
    Wheel of Time //
A Song of Ice and Fire //
    Dagger and the coin //
Echoes Saga (loved this one) //
    Farseer trilogy //
    Black Company //
    John Gwyne’s multiple séries //
    Broken Earth trilogy //
    Brandon Sanderson’s séries //
Shadows of the apt by Tchaikovsky (haven’t finished but mostly cause I put it aside to try again. Couldn’t connect with the characters) //
Bound and the broken series //

    Thank you!

    Edit:
The first law trilogy as well
    Gideon the ninth

That list is a bit hard to parse, but I don’t think I see Joe Abercrombie’s “The First Law” series in it, and that fits right in and is top notch.

    2. You only mention the Farseer Trilogy in your post. If you want sprawling stories with the best character writing in fantasy you can’t go wrong with more of Robin Hobbs’work.

There are fourteen more books in The Realm of the Elderlings split into four more series with one novella following on from that first trilogy.

Liveship Traders is up next, following an entirely new cast from the first trilogy, but still in the same world, before returning to Fitz and Co in The Tawny Man trilogy.

    3. I’d recommend Riftwar Saga series by Raymond E Feist, or The Book Of The New Sun series by Gene Wolfe
