I’ve few Russian classics, the book theif, Essays by Michel de Montaigne on my shelf to read. But I cannot physically bring myself to read them let alone dive mentally or maybe I’m just simply not in a mood to dissect on the various natures of humans.
The last book I read was Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet, and omg how much I loved it!!, so much so that near the end of the book, when I’d only few pages left to devour I abruptly dropped it because I was scared to fiinish this gem of a book.
I need some book suggestions that will awaken my mind to read more. I don’t do non fictions or fantasy–not yet. I think I’m craving for some dark twisted, morally unhinged, chess-like situation with hundreds perspectives to things—something that screams, “all that he does only to survive in a helpless difficult circumstances”.

Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon. It’s a faster/easier take on this idea if you’re in a slump from too many big Russian books.
