Looking for something very absorbing to read on a series of long flights. I love stories of science, like *The Emperor of All Maladies* and *Hidden Valley Road.* I also love biography-like stories, fiction or nonfiction. *Demon Copperhead* got me through a recent long flight. So, I guess anything absorbing and not too fantastical. And nothing too heartbreaking — no dead children, please.

“Far From The Tree” by Andrew Solomon would probably be right up your alley.
I just finished [Middlesex](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2187) by Jeffrey Eugenides. It’s a fictional telling of 3 generations of Greek Americans – a biography like story. You might enjoy!
