I read The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches recently and loved it. One thing that stood out to me is that the magic in the book wasn’t elaborated on to death, and had a more easy going feel to it than I’ve seen in other books. I think the term is a “soft magic” system?
I’d prefer a book that was light hearted over anything dramatic and heart pulling. Romance would be a big plus for me too.
Any recommendations that fit that feel would be appreciated.

* House in the Cerulean Sea

Cackle, the forgotten witch, keeper of enchanted rooms, the house in the cerulean sea,
Alice Hoffman is the author of many books that include magic. Practical Magic is probably her most famous one and is part of a series
More sci-fi than magic, I had a blast reading Off to be the Wizard (Scott Meyer) as well as the sequels in the Magic 2.0 series. It’s borderline litRPG, packed with humor. It’s definitely fun with magic, but maybe not in the way you’re looking for.
But it’s a fun read (the audiobook narration is very well done too)
