I’m looking for detective books that are dark and gritty. Books that fit the “grizzled detective monologuing in the rain complaining about the soul sucking city” stereotype. I’d prefer a series but have no issue with stand alones. If you’ve played the game Alan Wake 2, I’m basically looking for anything that fits the Alex Casey vibe.
