I work full time, have small children, am usually exhausted, and am trying to use me time while my toddler falls asleep. I’ve been in a reading slump for a while. I’m looking for:
– something decently fluffy. Too many recent books I’ve tried to read were too cerebral or heavy. I’m reading at the end of a long day so lighter is better.
– escapist fiction. I don’t want to think about real world stuff.
– absolutely no harm or threats to kids, babies, or pregnant women.
– compelling. Something that will grab me!
– preferably centered on a female main character
– really good writing.
I’m open to different genres.
