Im just finishing Brendon Chase (about 3 brothers that run away to live in the wilderness, a little like Kings Of Summer) after reading The Little Grey Men & Down The Bright Stream (fantasy/folklore) by BB, but one thing I adore about these books is the long immersive descriptions of the places, the way the place moves and smells and feels, the changing of the seasons, a return to a more simple life etc. I’m in the UK myself so all of this is very easy to imagine and appreciate.
So hopefully looking for some new books with this feel, anything with a great appreciation for British nature. Fiction or non fiction are welcome, I enjoy fantasy & folklore, but I’m happy to read anything with a bit of adventure about it.
I’ve no interest in reading romance novels, so skip those!
