Ok, so hopefully this isn’t too crazy of an ask. Looking for some good scary books, preferably set in a historical time (victorian, edwardian, really anything-even read a 1980s themed one recently, just really enjoy a book set sometime in the past rather then current times) and preferably with a romance set in to the story. For an idea of what I’m looking for, Darcy Coates books, House of Shadows/House of Secrets was perfect for me. Historical setting, scary story, nice romance, and I appreciated that it was an easy, light read. I also enjoy the work of Jennifer McMahon (although she usually doesn’t have a smooth romance with her work) and The Only One Left by Riley Sager was awesome (again, no romance there but just mention it for an idea on my taste, and the historical setting).
