Hello! I’m looking for a sci-fi / fantasy book that involves lots of political intrigue and military strategy to a lesser extent. Preferably something that’s not so heavy with magic and also not that YA.
As a side note, I really like Brandon Sanderson and GRRM (Mistborn and GoT / Asoiaf).

The Expanse books for more war, although it also focuses heavily on politics and there’s a lot of exploring new worlds.
The Imperial Raadch series (starting with Ancillary Justice) are heavily focused on political intrigue, but are set in the middle of a war and focus on some open combat, as well.
