My mom has difficulty reading books because of her vision and English being her second language. For Mother’s Day, I want to record me slowly reading a book for her. If she likes it, this will become a long-term project where I record a chapter a week or something like that.
The problem is, I have no idea what would be a good choice. My mom has always wanted to read Anna Karenina, Pride and Prejudice, and Jane Eyre, but they’re long and possibly too difficult. I would be so grateful if anyone could suggest me a short easy to read book that has tugged at your heartstrings, made you ask questions you otherwise wouldn’t have thought of, or helped you look at the world through a different lens. Thank you so much! I’m excited to see the suggestions!
I’m thinking maybe Anne of Green Gables.
