I’m not a person who cries when reading books (or even movies) but The Tattooist of Auschwitz had me WEEPING at so many points. I want to read more books that are just as sad and moving, what would you guys recommend?
the premise sounds insane, i know, but the author does a fantastic job using light body horror as a vehicle to explore love, loss and letting go.
this is my second favorite book of all time but i haven’t been able to read it again because the pain is still too fresh. this book absolutely devastated me due to what it’s a metaphor for.
beautiful, haunting and melancholic. i can’t recommend this one enough.
